Virginia Tech’s Men’s Water Polo team has a long standing tradition of success, coming in the top three at division championships 3 out of the last four years. This spring the team will be training hard with their eye’s on another title (last in 2009) come next fall. We welcome anyone who is willing to put in a little work to come out to a practice to meet the team. The travel team consists of 17 players who are chosen each week before a tournament. We hope to see you out there.
Team History: 2014 (9-2) The Virginia Tech Men's Water Polo completed the 2014 Fall Semester with a record of 9 wins and 2 losses. The team headed into the championship tournament with the No. 1 seed, but, after a heartbreaking loss to Navy in the semi-finals, the team finished 4th in the division.
2010 (9-1-1) The Virginia Tech men's water polo team completed their 2010 fall semester season with a record of 9 wins 1 tie and 1 loss. They lost during the Division Championships to UNC during and early game knocking them down to a possible 4th in the division. The team then played Maryland to finalize there position in fourth for the fall season.
Peter Biskaduros was named the most valuable player in the Atlantic division. Other all conference members include Peter Ollis, Peter Biskaduros, and Matt Sylvester who made first team all conference. The team continues to compete into the 2011 spring season and training for the fall 2011 season.
2009 (10-2) Atlantic Division Champions: The Virginia Tech men's water polo team completed their 2009 fall semester season with a record of 10-2. They lost early in the season to Duke University and than again in a tough fought game that went into overtime with Georgetown. The team quickly recovered though and came out on top at the championship tournament with victories over Duke 7-6 in the Semifinals, and Georgetown 6-5 in the Atlantic Division Championship.
The Hokies accepted their bid to nationals in Gainesville, Florida in November and placed 12th over all with a record of 1-3, a victory over Georgia Tech, and losses to Washington, Penn State, and Columbia. Read More...

Atlantic Division Champions: The Virginia Tech Men's Water Polo Team completed their second consecutive undefeated season in club history by winning the Atlantic Division. The club went on to compete at the CWPA National Championship at the University of Arizona. Read More...
